Family Celebrations and Changing Generations
Sheila Howell
“It’s like an office party but with extended family.”
As generations change, and our families have grown, we don’t spend Christmas with grown up cousins and our aunts and uncles like we used to. One of our cousins decided we need a yearly reunion. So, he rents a space, caters in food, plans the games, and we all get together for great food and fun once a year. It’s like an office party but with extended family.
There are usually well over 60 people in attendance. We have had five generations in one room at times. It’s been a wonderful way to celebrate family.
