Ingredients
- Candy Bar:
- 3 c powdered sugar
- 1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow crème
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¼ tsp almond extract
- 2 c chopped salted nuts
- Caramel Coating:
- 14 ounces caramels
- 3 tbsp water
Directions
- Mix marshmallow creme with vanilla and almond extracts.
- Then add powdered sugar and knead well until smooth (need to use hands).
- Shape into logs and roll them in wax paper to make more even.
- Freeze for 2 hours or longer.
- Once the logs are frozen, melt caramels and water on the stove using a double boiler and mix well.
- Roll the logs in the melted caramel and then roll into the chopped nuts. (I usually use a cake pan to put the nuts in and roll the logs in there).
- You can make smaller logs or I make larger logs and then slice them into smaller pieces.
