New Tree Tradition
New Tree Tradition
“Small traditions can make a new place feel like home.”

When I moved to Minnesota, I decided to embrace the local spirit and start a new tradition: chopping down my own Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. What began as a practical way to kick off the season quickly turned into one of my favorite rituals—bundling up, trekking through the tree farm, and choosing the perfect tree to brighten my home for the holidays. (This year’s pick is a white pine!) This simple adventure reminds me how small traditions can make a new place feel like home.
