Ingredients
- 1 lb margarine (or 1/2 butter, 1/2 margarine)
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 6 eggs
- 3 1/2 c cake flour (or 3 c + 1 tablespoon all purpose flour)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350. Grease an angel food cake or bundt cake tin.
- Using an electric mixer, beat margarine or butter and vanilla.
- Gradually add powdered sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each one.
- Turn mixer on low and add flour. Batter will be thick.
- Scoop batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for one hour, until top of cake is brown and a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
- Leave in pan to cool for 30 minutes, then run knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
